Changing EcoCash PIN

The process is fairly easy. This is how you do it:

  • First, dial *151#
  • Enter your 4 digit PIN (the old one)
  • Then, select option 7 – Wallet Services
  • After that, select option 6 Pin Reset
  • Then, select option 1 – Change Pin
  • Enter New 4 digit Pin
  • Re-enter 4 digit pin 
  • Voila, you have a new PIN

Note: new pin cannot be the same as old one!

Using an EcoCash App To Change PIN

This method is visual and we all know that visual things are always better. Here is how you go about it:

  • First, download and install the EcoCash app for Android or iOS.
  • Then, log in using your phone number and your old PIN
  • After that, find Wallet Services 
  • Then, find PIN Reset on top

  • After that, enter Old PIN, NEW, and Confirm
  • Then, hit Submit and you have your PIN changed

Why should I change my PIN Frequently?

The real question to ask is – are you sure no one knows your PIN? I mean from all the queues and all that, yea if you think you have been playing safe, that’s good. 

I would recommend you change your EcoCash PIN every three months, just to be on the safe side.
